LYRICS BORN “YES, BAY AREA” DEBUT BOOK RELEASE EVENT @ THE INDEPENDENT SF, CA
May 15th, 2012
L-Beezies!
It is official, and we are very excited to announce the debut book from Lyrics Born; “Yes, Bay Area”.

“Yes, Bay Area” is a collection of Tweets that have been compiled from over the past 2 years and features LB’s funny and insightful musings on the San Francisco Bay Area’s rich and diverse culture.
Prompted by the suggestions of hundreds of fans on Twitter and Facebook, “Yes, Bay Area” is the first of its kind for LB and sees the veteran MC, Producer and Voiceover artist once again stepping into new territory and breaking new ground in a career constantly expanded by his bold and out-of-the-box approach.
Featuring artwork by the Bay Area’s own, Eddie Colla and Jason Malig, the book is through and through a testament to the San Francisco Bay Area.
“Hapa dude from Berkeley with Italian hair, Cajun accent, and intergalactic mic skills capturing the funniest observations on the quirks of the 510, 415, 408, 650, and 707 since Richard Pryor stalked these same streets? Yes, world. You’ve come to the right book.”
—Jeff Chang Award winning author of “Can’t Stop Won’t Stop” and “Total Chaos: The Art & Aesthetics of Hip-Hop”
“We’ve got much more than 140 characters in the Bay… but 140 is all LB needs to rock these compulsively-readable, hilarious, and incisive mini-portraits. If you live here, you’ll be nodding your head in recognition… and if you don’t, well, you’re fucking up. But at least now you’ve got a field guide.”
– Adam Mansbach, author of the #1 New York Times bestseller “Go the Fuck to Sleep”.
The e-book will be available for download June 12th, 2012 and also available at the Official “Yes, Bay Area” Book Release Event at the Independent in San Francisco, CA!
